Galería Cubana is excited to introduce 9 new paintings by the internationally acclaimed artist Orestes Gaulhiac in his 15th exhibition with the gallery. 

Gaulhiac’s works are fantastical scenes of vibrant color and playful musings among humans, animals and nature. The artist professes that now more than ever we must allow ourselves the pleasure of imagination and fantasy. Gaulhiac harkens back to nature and mythology to find his happiness during these challenging times.

His work is inspired by his childhood in the lush countryside of Santiago de Cuba where he first discovered that all beings nurture a close relationship to one another. Communication and closeness are central themes of his latest paintings. Gaulhiac’s intention is to convey our collective desire to relate to one another. As always, his paintings come alive with captivating elements of romance, humor and mysticism.
