Galería Cubana is excited to host the internationally acclaimed artist Orestes Gaulhiac. In his latest exhibition, the artist introduces 16 new vibrant paintings. Gaulhiac harkens back to his early career designing sets for children's television programming in Cuba. His paintings are fantastical scenes of vivid color and playful musings among humans, animals and nature. 

His work is inspired by his childhood in the lush countryside of Santiago de Cuba where he first discovered that all beings nurture a close relationship to one another. Communication and closeness are central themes of his latest paintings. Gaulhiac’s intention is to convey our collective desire to relate to one another. As always, his paintings spring alive with captivating elements of romance, humor and mysticism.
