This year the internationally acclaimed Cuban painter, Orestes Gaulhiac presents 16 new paintings. In response to a challenging year, the artist delves deep into his imagination to create an ideal world where fear, stress, and want don't exist. Gaulhiac's paintings portray a place where people love, work, and enjoy the miracle of life and its delights. Don’t miss his playful scenes of vivid color and lighthearted musings!
Inspired by the lush countryside of Santiago de Cuba, Gaulhiac believes that all living beings nurture a close relationship to one another. His highly stylized vibrantly colored paintings portray a universe where the natural world blends seamlessly with the realm of humans. Gaulhiac’s focus is on the spirit and energy of the figures embedding them with patterns and rich color. The artist has been represented by Galeria Cubana since 2007 and has participated in more than 50 exhibitions internationally and in Cuba.
