Sandra Dooley

Sandra Dooley
Born in Havana, Cuba on December 10, 1964

A self-taught artist, Sandra Dooley draws inspiration from artists such as Picasso, Chagall and Matisse, for it was through their reference she learned to paint.

Dooley's paintings reflect her daily life at home with family, friends and pets in her hometown of Santa Fe, Cuba. Essential in her highly textured mixed media works is the contemplative expressions of her mainly female subjects. Painting is a realized dream for her. She says if she could not paint, she could not live.

She has been exhibiting her works since 2000 in Cuba, Canada, Germany and the United States.
